Eric Clapton Live at The Royal Albert Hall

ThePurpleVision were thrilled to catch the legendary Eric Clapton during the last of his three sold out shows at The Royal Albert Hall last night. It was the last of his three-run live shows at the venue - his only planned gigs in the UK this year - and it did not disappoint.

Eric was accompanied by his band members Chris Stainton, Nathan East, Doyle Bramhall and Sonny Emory, and together they ran through the hits in his massive back catalogue, including "Motherless Children", "Change The World", "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Layla".

The big surprise of the evening, however, was his amazing cover of Prince's "Purple Rain", a new song in his repertoire, which he has only played once before. If you weren't lucky enough to catch him this time round, you can check out Old Slowhand covering The Purple One here:
