This weekend, it was Glastonbury time again, and ThePurpleVision was out in the (surprisingly) brilliant British sunshine to soak up all the light and glory emanating from the sky and the stage.
With single-use plastic banned, and Extinction Rebellion out in full force, it was the most enviornmentally concious festival we've been to, and we might even agree with Emily that this was the best one yet:
This year's was the most diverse line-up in the festival's 49 year history, and the brilliant Stormzy's commanding set shows why this was a good idea (he was, suprisingly, the first British rapper to headline!).
Highlights included Janelle Monae's inspiring speech, David Attenborough's iconic voice singing (not literally) the praises of the eco-conscious audience, and the wonderful tributes to the recently passed Keith Flint. Musical highs included Mavis Staples, Sheryl Crow, Janelle Monae and Lauryn Hill, not to mention the other, non-Stormzy headliners, like The Cure and The Killers.
What a wonderful weekend we have, and we can only imagine what next year's 50-year celebrations have in store for us.
